The Rockingham Shoot

This BBC TV film drama from the mid 1980s includes an extremely graphic hand-caning scene. The action takes place in an Irish catholic school some decades ago, where the fervently nationalist teacher is enraged by the fact that his pupils have taken time off from their studies to act as beaters on an English-owned estate during a hunt. He proceeds to cane the entire class, giving each boy several sharp cuts on each hand.
