The Hellfire Club

During the opening sequence of this colourful British costume drama of 1961, two boys are caught spying on the debauched rituals of The Hellfire Club, an 18th century secret society of libertine aristocrats. One of the boys is beaten with a riding crop by his enraged father - a leading light in the club - while the other lad, who has escaped blame, watches. The victim is later comforted by his distraught mother.
