Each September on St Matthew's Day pupils from Christ's Hospital School march through the City of London, led by their band. Following a church service, the visiting schoolchildren take lunch with the Lord Mayor at the Guildhall. This annual event commemorates the school's historic links with the City: the original bluecoat school was established in Newgate in Tudor times, moving to the more salubrious air of Sussex in the early 1900s. These pictures were taken at the 2002 event.
