The tweed Norfolk suit, with belted high-buttoning jacket, baggy knickerbockers, long woollen stockings, lace-up boots and stiffly starched Eton collar was a popular everyday outfit for younger boys. Modern boys would no doubt find such a stuffy outfit more than a little restrictive.
