The Royal Hospital School was based in Greenwich, close to the River Thames in South East London, until the 1930s. In October 1995 the school's marching band participated at the official opening of the Nelson Exhibition at the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. Inaugurated 190 years after Nelson's great victory at Trafalgar, this impressive ongoing museum exhibit will reach its climax in 2005, the bicentenary year of the battle.
